Teodoro bar Koni (Theodorus bar Konai) foi um mestre e professor da Igreja do Oriente, e viveu no século VIII. De seus trabalhos, o que chegou até nós foi o seu livro de escólios bíblicos – uma série de comentários sobre toda bíblia, na forma de perguntas e respostas, em onze capítulos (memra). Os capítulos 1-5 consistem de perguntas sobre o Antigo Testamento. Capítulos VI-IX versam sobre o Novo Testamento. Os capítulos X e XI tratam de questões sobre religião e as várias seitas que eram consideradas heréticas.

Esta é a primeira edição impressa dos salmos em aramaico, na versão Peshitta. Publicada em 1625, postumamente ao autor, Thomas Erpenius (1584-1624). Apresenta os salmos em aramaico com tradução para o latim em colunas paralelas.

Este interessante volume nos traz alguns documentos em aramaico relacionados ao martírio dos Macabeus.

The Fourth Book of Maccabees (O Quarto Livro dos Macabeus).

O autor de 4 Macabeus nos conta, em uma forma expandida e com algumas variações a história do segundo livro dos Macabeus, sobre o martírio de Eleazar e da Mãe e seus sete filhos por Antiochios Epifâneo, cerca de 169 a.C., na forma de um sermão. O texto em aramaico foi editado a partir de 9 manuscritos. Não apresenta tradução para o inglês.

A escrita utilizada é o Serto.
